Alternator problem

I have read there is a problem with the alterator becoming loose on ST's ??
Can someone expand on this and let me know the corrective action I should take. I have the fairing off the bike at the moment so thought this might be a good time to flag this up !
Also a quick a point about the air bleed screws on the throttle bodies, there does not feel much resistance when adjusting them, are they likely to vibrate out of adjustment ?

Cheers

I'm no expert, but as far as I know if the alternator is loose the corrective action would be to tighten it up again.

Not sure about the throttle bodies though.....

Bit of nail varnish or tipex on the bleed screws should lock them up.

Alternator nut is a common problem on all bikes, dunno the correct method for dealing with it though. Someone will be along soon who knows. Its only a ten minute job to get the plastic off when your used to it but to get to the alternator nut you need to drop the coolant and the oil as well i think.

My 2002 model has 3000 miles on it (I know, I must get out more often !) When she gets to near 6000 I'll get the valves checked and let them check the alternator nut at the same time.
Cheers
