Post DSC Ducati Factory Tour - 21st March 2019

DSC Ducati Factory Tour - 21st March 2019

All,

We are organising an exclusive DSC trip to the Ducati Factory in Bologna, Italy on Thursday 21st March 2019.

We will fly into Bologna airport and go to the Factory where we will have lunch in the staff canteen. We will then have a tour of the factory and the museum. After a quick trip to the Factory Store, where all DSC members get extra discount, we will then head to a local restaurant for some genuine Italian food.

You then have the choice of flying back home, making this a cheap single day trip (just the cost of a return flight) or you can stay the night in Bologna and take in the local sights before returning the next day (or stay longer!) at your leisure.

The cost of the factory tour is free for DSC members. There is a charge for lunch in the staff canteen, around €8 a head. You will need to pay the (small) transfer fee from the airport to the factory, which was €1.50 on the bus last time we went! Flights can be really cheap if booked in advance; currently £16.99 with Ryanair from Stansted to Bologna one way! Obviously if you want to stay overnight you will need to factor in a hotel.

If you are interested in joining us, please reply below to let us know. Once we have confirmation of our booking, we will let everyone know flight details and reserve your spot.

We only get a limited number of spaces on the Factory Tour to ensure that we keep together, so it is strictly a first-come, first-served basis!

----------

Flights to Bologna

You must book your own flights to Bologna. Some of us are flying from Stansted via Ryanair direct to Bologna Marconi airport, but you can obviously fly from your local airport if that's easier!

Thursday 21st March: Ryanair FR194 Stansted 08:15 -> Bologna 11:20

Thursday 21st March: Ryanair FR195 Bologna 18:45 -> Stansted 20:10
or
Friday 22nd March: Ryanair FR195 Bologna 18:45 -> Stansted 20:10

Tour Details (Thursday PM):

We will be booking in for the afternoon tour, so you will need to be at the factory around 1pm, hopefully for lunch in the staff canteen at around 1.30pm

You will have plenty of time to visit the Factory Shop across the road from the factory, and grab a few bargains!

If you're heading home, you can easily get to the airport from the factory via a taxi (ten minutes tops) or cheaply on the bus.

Thursday Evening:

If you are staying overnight the Thursday, it's up to you where you stay but we would recommend somewhere close to the centre of the city (Piazza Magiore) as it's a beautiful city and worth exploring in your own time.

We will be heading to the Scrambler Ducati Food Factory in the evening in the centre of Bologna, so you are more than welcome to join us if you wish. http://www.scramblerducatifoodfactory.it/

Friday:

Wake up in the beautiful Italian city of Bologna and explore before heading home in the evening.

I went back through some of my old photos too - found some from a big trip we did in 2005 - we had a huge group that time as well And some from 2010... everyone looks so young...

There is a flight leaving Stansted at 8.15 and then leaving Bologna at 18.45
Seems ideal ?
