It's a real problem that many insurers simply wont tackle. Carol Nash must have changed their policy recently because when I asked them if they would insure my bike with termi's they simply asked "if where they on the bike from new" my answer was "no" like most ducati owners. As such the bike was no longer standard and they would not be able to help me... Silly me for mentioning it.

I would say that most ducatis with 'termi' pipes are doing so due to non discloseure.

Unless of course you have a bike that has them fitted as standard, I think that is the Foggy rep only?

My wife has a modified bike policy with Carol Nash for her Hornet. One of the modifications is a race can. The premium was still very reasonable

Carole Nash were fine with my 54mm Sil Motors, and so is Access Underwriting (through Laxton's).

Both will only replace with standard pipes though but at least they won't deny your claim based on it.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I rang Premium Choice and they said Equity Red Star will not insure with termis.
Still unsure what to do but thanks again. If I was due to renew then I could phone around but not due until November.
