ST4S rear shock

My local dealer told me today that the rear shock on myST4S was knackered (14,500 miles). Since the original one was replaced at the first service this seems a bit premature. Has anyone else had this problem with their ST4S ?.

Incidentally, as well as the rear shock I've had two sets of front brake disks warp and the clutch also went just before the warranty expired last year.

Both the shock and the disc's were replaced on mine just before the warranty expired.

Today I took the bike to our other Ducati dealer in Glasgow, who got the suspension expert next door to have a look and next minute he pronounced it as fine and well, just badly out of adjustment, which he put right with a few clicks !. In two days I think I've seen the best and the worst side of the bike trade...

PS BDG, I recall you said you might be able to give me some tips on a good route to/from Barcelona from Zeebrugge for the MotoGP ?. Any advice gratefully accepted

Will do. Sounds like a good excuse for a blast to the Lakes or Hartside Top...
