| Mechanical failure on a CBR1000 The stuff of nightmares. Following a CBR1000rr round Mallory on Thursday when it looked like the rider had locked up for the hairpin, nope thats cement dust, don't remember any last time round, Oh Shite thats coolant pouring out, the unlucky pilot makes it round the hairpin after catching a little slide but when he opens it up on the exit he ends up in orbit. Nastry Chest injuries the the result. The bike looked pretty new but judging by the amount of cooling fluid pouring out before the crash something let go in the cooling system big style. No chance to get alongside to try and warn him or for the marshalls to black flag, all over in 50 yards.  Ray  |
