Talking A piece of history.....

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bi...N-7526192&mfy=

This 998 FO1 is Troy Baylisss 2001 FO1 that he used to win the world super bike championship in that year. This bike is in superb condition after being rebuilt at the end of the season by the factory mechanics and is ready to show or parade or would be the centre piece of a Ducati collection. The bike is sold with spares including factory crank cases and pistons and the paper work from Ducati with the chassis number. Please contact me for further information or to view this iconic Ducati. Please note the price includes vat.
Bayliss 2001 F01. Now is that ever nice. Looks to be in very good condition as well.

Correct me if I am wrong but it is actually a 996 (R) F01, as it has 21 on it and not 1 for 2002.

Looking at photo 4 there seem to be a number of bikes in the collection.

IIRC Tony at Targetmotorsports has all the original F0 Ducati Superbikes. He has been featured in MCN before, I have vistied his place a couple of times to collect RS bits. You would want to check the authenticity of anything you pay such a premium for, is it a genuine F0 or an RS maybe?
IIRC the F01 bikes then went to GSE the next year 02?

Either way, nice bike!!
