Rider to sponsor??

I know the DSC is looking to provide sponsorship to riders but as yet as far as I know there are no firm names.

Some of you know that I sponsor Jay Fernandez via Adopt a Racer. He is in MRO supersport 400 class this year. He is doing well and after round 5 is 3rd in the championship.

I have today had bad news from his mum that the team he rides for are out of money and the next race may be the last for the season.

This seems a terrible shame so could he be considered for a bursary? He is a well known young (22 year old) racer whose profile can be found on the site below

I would refer viewers to race reports on:

www.bemsee.co.uk
www.adopt-a-racer.org.uk

I have posted this but will be away for a week so don't expect me to look at your replies. Thought I would get it on here whilst the disappointment is high.

Not looking good at the moment.

I have just sponsored another rider: Ross Walter 15 year old in GP125. Currently leading BMRC and won twice at weekend. Also came 2nd in MRO race. Another future star given the breaks.

Just heard from his mum that the team has gone. They didn't even prep the bike properly for Brands so he had an under powered bike but got 9th. They said they knew there were problems with the bike and there would be a chat after the race!

Then they told him they were all going elsewhere.

Trouble is he gifted his ZXR400 to them as part of the deal at the start of the season. 5 weeks to the next race.
