Corbin Gunfighter seat - EXCELLENT!!!

In My Humble Opinion anyway.

MINUS POINTS:
1) slight misalignment /gap between the left hand rear panel and the seat that was not there with the original seat.

2) had to space out the seat latch with some THICK plastic washers before it would lock into position.

3) Plates where the front of the seat mounts under the frame tubes are just that - painted plates!!! no plastic or rubber coating in sight, which would of been nice.

4) No latch hardware (old unit so might have gone missing)

PLUS POINTS:
1) Slightly lower than standard.
2) Slightly wider than std.
3) I find it more comfortable - when wearing full leathers so far, not had much chance to 'chuck' the bike about yet with the Corbin seat on time will tell.
4) STYLE - I love it
5) Stainless screw bolts are mounted into the seat base (GRP I think) rather than the bolt holes used on the original.

Looks good.

I am looking at getting a modded seat due to me being a short-****, with leathers I am just toeing the ground. The corbin looks like a nice piece of kit, but..... how much?

I got a quote last week on a Corbin seat for my 750ss and it was £280. I think it was from Equinox.

Another option you could look at is the Sargent seat.

http://www.sargentcycle.co.uk

The quote I got on that one was £275 from Calamander.

I colleague of mine has a 900ss with the Sargent seat and is really very happy with it. And it also looks the business! Same person is also quite short and has had the ride height on his bike lowered.

Sadly, yep - £220 full price for the Corbin seat but I managed to get this a lot cheaper when M&P were having a clear-out.

GIve 'em a buzz - you never know!

OK so I lied, after questioning further I found out that my colleague only had the SEAT lowered. He also had the seat narrowed (less of your legs go out before down).

He had the lowering done on the original seat, before he had a custom one made. He's offered to loan anyone the lowered original if you're interested. It's from a 2000 model 900ss.

Email me if you'd like to try this out.
