I agree with both of you. I would have lost out this weekend if it weren't for the intervention of the RC to straighten things out. Yes there may have been some lack of comms somewhere but Murray certainly knew the score before he turned up at Cadwell and he posted on this site to say how disappointed he was, before the weekend - this is not to say he was not a gentlemen about it all. I don't believe it is the responsibility of the RC to mother everybody. If you are not sure about something surely you just ask someone?!? Nothing is EVER perfect!!!
Anyway, having come up from London on Thursday, therefore giving up 4 days of my life with all of the associated costs for a track day and the race weekend and then be told I wouldn't race would have been very unfair on me, I think.
I need the race experience and the track time and it showed this weekend as I knocked 13 seconds off my best lap time at Cadwell in March. I may be running at the back and there are no trophies for coming 2nd last but in my books I won something.

Fair play to you Phil you had a great season and you talk some sense too!!!
