Tyre selection for 999R & S. Advice?

My BT012SS are well and truly shagged after Rockingham yesterday so I better get them replaced this weekend.

Any advice. The BTs have been fine but anyone got any other recommendations?

DaveW you were waxing on Sunday but I can't remember about what.

Also the Dunlop guy waffled on yesterday for an age about tyres & compounds but never came up with any recommendations. Only that you should never fit 190 section tyres to rims designed for 180..............there are no advantages. It's a journalism myth...........he said :P:P:P

I'd go with the Diablo Corses to. Full cut tread pattern, so are fine if it gets wet on the road, work OK from "cold" and seem to last pretty well to.
I'm hearing a few things about the new BT014's, like.................."bloody hell, do they grip or what?"
Saying that, they are a new tyre so I'd wait until they've run for a few months in case of any problems, like some of the reported Diablo ones in the early days.
Go for the Diablos

i rate the new 04 compound Michy Pilot Race 2's
warm up a lot quicker than older compound ones and give the most grip this side of a slick tyre

after them its Rennsports!
would like to try the new ones (race tec?)

Everton,

I've did 650 track miles (5 days) on my first set of Diablo Corsas and have just changed for another set.

Nuff said (that's until the new D208RR become available though)
