expansion tank

...help,cant find the leak,every time i go for a blast i seem to come back with coolant on my left hand and left side of the screen,think im gonna have to change the bottle and cap......dont suppose anyone's got a spare lying around for a 2000 996?ill gladly part with cash,lol,i seem to be doing it quite a bit lately!!!!

It's obviously a sealed system so it's worth removing the fuel tank and checking the hoses and looking for cracks in the expansion tank. Otherwise, I'd change the cap and see if that does the trick.

I'd be surprised if either the expansion tank or the cap were too expensive though.

I've heard of a few cracked expansion tanks so it could be that.

You'll only need to swap the tank. They're about £20 from your dealer. Not a difficult job. Couple of hours.

thanks for your help once again chaps,hopefully ive got all the little gremlins out now before i go to holland on it at the end of this month<hopefully!!!!!!
