SWAP: 19x20mm Brembo Master Cylinder for 19x18?
Just got a pair of brand new Brembo master cylinders off flea bay, but the brake is 19x20mm, and I wanted 19x18mm.

Anyone have one lying about they would swap?

you can get different lever lengths.
but 19x16, 19x18 and 19x20 are different units

My response it to the original question. If he buys a 18 ratio lever he will achieve a 19x18 cylinder.

Its not about lever5 lengths its about the ratio, ie the pivot point, meaning what you get out from what you put in!

Whos in the know then? ring GPR, brembo dealers, and ask...........

18 is the fulcrum-to-piston distance in mm, not the overall length of the lever.

A fulcrum-to-piston distance affects two things: the amount of force needed at the lever, and the distance that the lever needs to be pulled through (to displace and compress the same amount of hydraulic fluid which in turns forces the caliper pistons against the rotor discs) to yield the SAME stopping power.

The castings are different. You can't just put a "18" lever on a "20" MC. Well, I suppose you could, but I wouldn't.

I still fail to understand how you can change something that is stamped with 19x20 to 19x18 by just changing the leaver, and the prices for those two items are different
