Smile Indicator failure
Hi All,

I have a 1999 ST2 and for no obvious reason, the right hand indicators (front and back) have ceased to be, the left? Just fine, only the right. The bulbs seem ok, but I will change them for new ones when I get to a halfords etc.

Any other reason why this might happen?

Cheers

Rob

Hi Robert,
There is only one fuse for the indicators, and one flasher relay. It therefore has to be the switch or something down line from that.
I would therefore start with the handlebar switch and make sure its making contact.

Happy Christmas

I'd suspect either a broken wire or the Indicator switch

Thanks for the advice,

Im not overly mechanically minded but, I do have the patience to figure it out, given a little guidance, how do I access the indicator switch on the left bar?

Is it a sealed unit or can it be stripped apart reasonably easily?

Cheers

Rob

Probably better off checking continuity at the connector end
These may help taken from My 1000SS Manual but gives you an idea

The colour wiring diagram is well worth printing out!

Good luck
