996 Lower Shock Bolt Seized

Hi Guys

Need some advise! I'm trying to remove the rear shock from my 996 and try as I might I cannot remove the lower bolt (steel bolt into alloy insert).

Tried everything heat power bars you name it

Can the head of the bolt be drilled out?

Thanks in advance John

Probably rusted into the steel insert on the other end, drilling might be the only option, depending which end you drill from you need to drill out a good 10mm or more

Had the same on mine last year. Short of me wrecking it I decided it was best to just take it to my local bike shop and get them to do it. Only cost me 1/2 hr labour and they copper greesed it so it wont stick again.
