Moto Rapido Racing sign Jamie Poole for the 848 Challenge

Winchester-based Ducati dealer, Moto Rapido, has announced the signing of 29 year-old Jamie Poole to contest the 2011 Ducati 848 Challenge.
Jamie, a design engineer from Kettering, is an experienced and talented rider who has previously competed in other high profile one-make championships. He now makes a welcome return to Ducati having previously raced a 999 in the Superstock 1000 Championship.
The Moto Rapido Racing 848 Challenge team is joined by Jamie’s sponsors, Building Services Design, Hoval Boilers, and EMTS (East Midlands Tyre Services) and by Jamie’s crew chief, Ducati specialist Jeff Green from G-Tec.

Jamie spoke of his excitement at the prospect of racing in the 848 Challenge, ‘I can’t wait for the season to start. I’ve raced a Ducati 999 in the past and it was always my aim to be back in the BSB paddock racing a Ducati again. The 848 is such a great bike and I think with support from my sponsors, Moto Rapido Racing, and Jeff at GTec Performance I have the perfect package to do well in this championship.’

Moto Rapido Racing Team Manager, Steve Moore commented on their entry into the 848 Challenge, ‘As a Ducati dealer we were keen to be involved in the 848 Challenge and now we have Jamie on board we can look forward to the season with confidence. The 848 Challenge is a great championship to be in and with our experience racing with Ducati we are hoping for a successful season.’
