Monster chain guard?

What are we gonna need to meet ACU regs with regard to chainguards?

I understand that we'll need a lower guard that prevents body parts from getting stuck between the chain and sprockets?

Are there universal parts that'll work for this? Or are we in specialist engineering country?

Thanks
Tim

Get one from the Ally Palace show if you're going, or most places will sell a universal one for 10-15 quid

Don't you just love "buy it now" ?????

Thanks fella - that's something less to worry about!!!

I've spent most of the evening getting the ZX sorted for Spain next month - its a lotta fun, but these Jap bikes are so over-engineered it seems and there are so many parts to remove. The front fairing is made up of what seems like a hundred peices!!!

'tis fun though!!

I am really looking forward to it for a two main reasons;

firstly as its the first real outing on the ZX and I'll have 4 days to get used to both the bike and Cartegena.

Secondly so that I can work on my riding skills with real purpose, knowing that I'm gonna need to sharpen up all my skills and thought processes for the race season ahead.

I was tempted to take the Monnie, but I'll get eaten alive by the power boys down there and it'll do my head in putting up with that for 4 days!! It would be OK for a 1-day trackday, so I'll be having a few outings on the Monnie in the UK before season kick-off.

The ZX is gonna look really sweet too, I'll post up some pics once she's ready for Spain.

As for the chain, if it fits the Monster then it'll be useful, if not, not sure about the ZX, but I no longer have the 996R - I sold her back to Adam (on here). I bought her from him in the first place, so I knwo she's gone to a good home.
