European Breakdown Insurance

Guys

Looking at doing 3 days in europe soon and wondered if you have any good recommendations ?

I have 2012 1199S and wanted to make sure it can be returned etc to the UK or repaired if its breaks down... not that it would dare to

Not sure on insurance but have you tried BikeShuttle? They get your bike and gear to Geneva in a truck while you fly. Save yourself for the fun bits.

I have my bike insured with Carole Nash which includes basic Euro insurance but I took out their (reasonable) travel insurance too...

However, I did note an interesting Travel insurance for bikers the other day:

Good luck, please post up any good agents.

I bought a policy from Vehicle Rescue Direct a few years ago to cover a weekend away in France/Belgium.
It was under £20 and fortunately I never had to make use of it!

IIRC the policy was underwritten by AXA so plenty of clout behind it.

I have "free" AA with my bank account and the last time I took a bike over I added additional European cover for a small fee (cannot remember how much though). So if you have free uk cover through any odd avenues it may be easier to just extend that?..
