Tecmoto have the Ducati ones listed for £298 http://www.tecmoto.co.uk/magnesium/magnesium.htm .

Don't know if they actually have them in stock but if they do don't they offer the DSC a discount (10%?).

Interesting...that's £198 for a solid one, and £298 for a vented one.

Hmmmm...£100 for fresh air

Ah but its more than just fresh air Jools, its the extra noise that drives the Harley guys nuts when I ride the Duc to the dealer to get parts for my FXR. Thankfully the owner of the dealership and the 2 older mechanics there love the bike and arent your typical "rightous bro" types.

Surely you'd get a solid one cut out for less that £100. I've just had mine done as part of the winter rebuild.

yup I would have thought it would be less than 100 notes - think I'll be looking at a couple of machine shops to get quotes and look to a solid one...

the problem is, the magnesium has a zinc di-chromate coating on it, you machine the venting into it and you will have to remove the window and the crank end bush to get it replated. if you don't the mag will absorb moisture from the atmosphere and corrode.
also, the tecmoto ones have the new type logo, not era specific to our models.
p.p.s, the one on e-bay looks like it suits the testastretta, different to the desmoquattro.

You can always get some of this lovely stuff, works great. I have some to redo the paint on my cover.
