Buying a 996 SPS

Hi
I have a chance to buy a extremely nice 996 SPS 00 model with just 2000 km´ s on.
And I was wondering if there are any out there with these bikes who can give me any extra info on them, things that I should look for, did they have any problems. I currently have a 916 bi Posto så I know that it is much more of a bike.
Thanks for any help

Rick,

Just worth remembering that UK supplied ones came with carbon Termis and Eprom chip as well as a road legal set up. There was also a Ducati bike cover and a rear paddock stand if I remember correctly.

As PBSPS says, what are you waiting for

Well sale is off...
Our insurance is so HIGH here in Sweden for the 996 SPS it will be £1800 and for my 916 I pay £ 250 so too much of a hike. Whats the insurance like in the UK ?

Cover your eyes Rick.

I pay less than £300 for a dual policy covering my 2000 996SPS and my 2002 M900 i.e.

Rick,

It's just with Ducati Insurance, the ones that advertise in our mag.

Got to be worth a call 08704 10 60 60 or www.ducatiinsurance.co.uk

Good luck.

Buying a 996 SPS

How about a 996S or a 998.
Likely lighter on insurance and a good step up from the 916BP.
