If it's a known issue why aren't you getting the parts for free? Ducati UK should be paying for it IMO.

Good point....

As for holding spares, who knows, maybe there aren't any available as they are in such high demand, maybe not many get replaced outside of warranty, and dealers don't hold a stock, maybe the warranty process etc that the parts have to be issued by Ducati UK? I really don't know TBH

The bikes out of warranty... This fault is no listed as a recall So no can do... I would sooner do the work myself than take it to my local dealer !

I'd still ask the question though Dave. You don't get if you don't ask ...

Worth a try? It is a known issue that they are correcting on bikes under warranty.

mate 996 rockers aren't a known recall but DUK have been regularly supplying these parts even if the bikes have been out of warranty ....

You have a PM mate

Just got off the phone to said dealer.... Sorry sir but that bike is now out of warranty !! Oh what a surprise, This is the dealer that charges more money for a service if it wasn't supplied by them ! They just don't want to help at all..... Going to pursue option B... Cheers Dibs, And thanks for all the advice.

the unofficial mod is to solder the wires to the plug on the front cylinder and make up a small lead, and then filling the hole on the plug with sealant.

do you still have your old plug/coil
