Brake master cylinder ratio options
For better race braking I'm considering a brembo or equivalent brake master cylinder. Do I stick with the stock size or go smaller (more power but more travel) or larger (less power but less travel)?

Stock m/c is slowly becoming not good enough for racing.

Opinions please.

Probably a bit hard to go smaller as the standard is 16mm bore
The race Brembos start at 16mm
My preference was the 19mm dia. X 18 Pivot for use with twin 4-pots and 19mm dia. X 20 Pivot with twin 6-pots
Although now I have moved over to the adjustable ratio AP on both the 998s

So the 19x18 and the P4 calipers what sort of improvement would I expect Kev?

hard to quantify Neil as its personnel preference as your trying to get the feel you want.
To me the 19X18 with two p4s attached gives a strong brake with plenty of feel, Dallas has also gone the same route on his Fireblade with two brembo M4 Calipers

Cheers Kev that's the sort of thing I want. Even with the carbon pads the stock m/c seems to run out of stopping power no matter how hard I pull it.
