Ohlin's spring code 1091-16/64 289 means:

1091 = length code
16 = Ohlins code for spring rate
64 = 6.4 kg/mm spring stiffness = 358 lb/in
289 = production batch number,

Cheers Shazaam, so i suppose that is a bip spring or the same as a bip spring.
I am 5ft 4inches tall and weigh 10stone 5, so have been told i could run a 5.5 kg spring stiffness rate is this true?

real easy on the ohlins, just back the collars right off, allow the spring to drop and then remove the colette. Before changing springs its best to check all your sag figures, if your body weight fails to obtain the desired amount of sag then a cahnge of spring would be a good idea.
