More questions on failing rockers!!!
I have been reading all of your views about rocker problems and am quite concerned. I have a 1999 996 bip which has covered 7500 miles and would like to know if you can tell when this problem may arrise. Does it cause any knocking/rattling ect. Im taking a trip to france early next year so dont want my baby letting me down. Any info would be good. cheers...

The only way to tell is to pull the cams and look at the rocker surfaces. You won't be able to hear anything different.
