Anyone Know If This Will Fit My 916?

Bought a carbon hugger off Tinkler from this DSC site and it appears to be for a 749/999.
I've tried my best to get it to fit, but there's just no way I can see if it will fit.
He's responded; "I can only say what ducati told me and advertised in there perfomance catalog, sorry Jamie".
Any ideas ? Anyone ever had issues with buying from the DSC before?
My original posting to which was replied stipulated 916 / 748 / 996 Hugger wanted, original post here -> http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xm...php?tid=32327#

In addition to this, there's a transparent square section to the hugger when you hold it up to the light. I've been told by a couple of suppliers that it's a "second".

Gutted ! But learned a valuable lesson. Don't trust everyone, this kind of thing isn't just confined to eBay.

If it's from a 999/749 it won't fit a 916 (double-sided swingarm v. single-sided).
In my experience buying here is as chancy as anywhere else.

I've never had any issues buying from the DSC.

I think Tinkler is shafting you just quietly, very poor form for a DSC member but there you go ... we're all different.

desmobob,
Yes i did write that quote and true to my knolage it does fit a 748 916 as per the Duk perfomance catalog.

I did say in a u2u that you should check the fitment AND provided the part number to you as well !!! before you bought it from me and to my knolage it is a brand new part from ducati.

BUT im not trying to SHAFT you at all, if you would like a full refund it will be given.

Did you ask this NO instead you make me out to be a robbing w***er which im not .!!!

So if you would like a refund please u2U me and well sort this matter out as it should have been done in the first place

It's always good to get the other side of the story.

TP, the outback? You'd never stay on long enough!

Apologies, after suggesting it didn't fit a few times I thought a refund would have been the next move. Fair enough, I'll ship it back for a refund then.

I've shown it to a couple of Ducati aficionados and they both concur that it's for a 749, 999. The only way to get it to fit a single sided swinger is to melt it down and start again.
