Injection Set Up.

Is it practical to set up the injection system yourself,or best left to an expert?.
Having run the engine up,the plugs were reading rich.Checked the specs as per manual, and adjusted :-
Set TPS to exactly 150mv,horizontal throttle stop wound out, bring throttle stop up to 300 mv.Adjust vertical throttle stop till it touches-hasnt got one?
Set CO trimmer to default 2.5v
Next step would be to connect vacum gauge and balance?.
What about C0 checking, would a car type meter work-probe in exhaust?
Is it common for the vertical cylinder not to have a throttle stop adjuster as shown in manual?

Your throttle body sounds the same as mine. The earlier 888 throttle bodies were much simpler than the later ones shown in the manual and don't have the additional stop. I've cleaned and reassembled my throttle bodies but yet to go through what you have done. Sounds like all you need to do now is balance with gauges. The car probe should work OK or alternatively you could use a colour tune (though the deep plug tunnel may rule this out).

Experience with both 851 and 888 has lead me to the following procedure:

1. Buy an FIM chip
2. Get bike setup by expert with FIM computer/rolling road
3. Leave well alone
4. Spend those saved hours riding it!
