Rear Sub Frame

I hope I,m not alone on this one....!

Noticed movement on the extaust unit this weekend ,plus the heat sheild was rattling in time to bike, then to my total amazement I discovered the sub-frame completely cracked on both sides , just after the seat unit.
Has anyone else experienced this....??????

Oh dear!!

All the way through?? Bugger!!

I've got one of the 'legacy' bikes () so haven't had this problem. I do think I remember hearing this happening to other 999 owners though.

Yours is a 999R isn't it? Fairly new? What did the dealer say and who is your dealer?

Apparently it has been known to go, a certain duff batch maybe?
The break is completely through on both sides.
The problem is the constant movement has worn other parts such as the heat tray and rear seat mount are also shot.
