Chain adjustment

hi,

exams over - life back to normal!!!!

i need to adjust my chain. the haynes manual states that measurement should be done while the bike is on its sidestand, but doesn't state whether the adjustment should also be done the same way.

so sidestand or paddock stand? i've never adjusted a 748 chain before, so please let me know if there is anything i should or should not do.

thanks a lot!

I always get someone to sit on the bike off the stand and adjust that way, so you get rider sag in there also

I'm pretty sure mine needs adjusting now but what with everyone's chain snapping it kind of puts you off
