749 open road running temp

what temperature do your bikes run at on the open road, i.e. warmed up and travelling down motorway or A road
mine is currently at 68 deg C it was at about 71 deg C in the summer months.
rond town mine will reach 103 deg C then fan comes on.

Thx Mark

Fan should kick in about 110 i think or 120. Air is cooler in winter hence lower temp running

Fans kick in around the 100 mark on my 999, think Ian will probably say the same, a he did post an issue around that a while ago, then he discovered what it was and we all had a hand in modding the bike at Oulton

Normal running temp on my 749S is about 72C, which is a bit cool really (according to Dynomax).

In traffic it very rapidly gets up in the 90's and the fan kicks in at about 103C.

Mine runs around 68-70 going down the road but as soon as I stop or hit traffic, it immediately climbs to 100+ EXTREMELY fast. Never overheats, but the rate of increase is a concern since I just got mine back from the shop...see other thread I just started.

Sorry, didn't mean to thread-jack.

mine ticks over at about 900 rpm when stopped with temp at 68 deg C (900 rpm is not a good tick over)

at between 80 and 90 deg C it ticks over great at about 1200 rpm

hence i was trying to determine if my free running temp was to low

Mine runs at 68 to 70 on open road, in the summer it was 85+ depending on how hard it was being riden, in town up to 103 when fan kicks in.
Tickover was set at 1200 to help stop it stalling and once temp get to 60 or above it stays at that.
