Hmmmm well all you can check is the avatar size , 155x155 max ,Theres no mention in the faq about a kb limit but I have had problems in the past so would suggest you try and keep it under 25kbs .
For reference ,http://www.screwcutter.pwp.blueyonde...mages/e102.JPG is the url for my avatar note the file type is .JPG not .jpg . If you want , give me a link to your avatar and I will upload it and we can see if that works .

Thanks Paul, I have been using this site http://www.theimagehosting.com/ but that didn't seem to work either. I think what I should do is leave the Bloody things and come back later. I have sent you a 155 size pic, if you think you can be successful go your hardest.
Cheers.

I was talking about these missing Avatars with Eamonn earlier and we were wondering if you have tried refreshing using the F5 key, then again if that was the case I should be able to see it so somethings not right somewhere

Maybe there are some other mac users out there with an avatar who may know if there is a trick to success using a mac.
Thanks for all the input guys, but I think it maybe time to let it rest for awhile.
May you all get in many great rides now that your summer is on the way.

You are a glutton for punishment Paul. Here is the procedure I've been doing.
in edit profile, choose file, select JPG you sent me,it comes up to show it's been chosen, hit edit profile.
New screen comes up with error message,"wrong file type "image/jpg" the file must be in .JPG format.

The other way, when I used the image hosting sites after hitting edit profile I get a new screen flash up fast then disappear saying my edit was successful. But still no avatar.
So that is what I am doing, is that basically what you have done.
cheers, Rob

Ok try copy and pasting this link http://www.screwcutter.pwp.blueyonde.../my888_155.JPG into the section that says avatar URL , That I think will sort it as I have uploaded your Avatar to my personal webspace .

hosting sites tend to block images that get to many hits , I think they also block out sites that request the image to much but thats only a hunch but is likely .
