I think you will have to fit the cpu anyway, then also get further benefits from a PC.

PC111 usb is the one to go for.....so im told. Unles you have an R then theres no map as yet, unless you have it created.

PC told me theres no support from them yet for PC111usb on the R...bugger

I fitted a set of 57's with the DP supplied ECU - its not just a chip swap like earlier models its the whole "brain".

I found the DP ECU fueled ok but not perfect.

If you fit it yourself do not forget to re-attach the black wire under the head of one of the ECU mounting bolts.

I have since had a PC fitted aswell and this has improved things significantly.

If you don't want to fit a PC to trim the DP ECU you can buy a Corse ECU to replace the DP item which is modifiable, but will cost around £800.

FIM hope to have their replacement ECU available later this year which is a further option.

Just spoken to Steve at Moto Rapido and he's going to fit me a PC.

It's programmed with a John Hackett map for the 999R and should get another 6-8 bhp.

I'm more interested in smoothing out the torque curve as it's up and down like a *****'s draws.

I'll keep you posted.
