I've done over 40,000 miles on 5 Ducati's, ST4, ST4S, 996SPS,
996R, and a Multistrada and have had very few problems, although they definatrely need more attention than say a VFR.

The sum total of my probs/warranty claims have been, warped discs & leaking shock on the ST4S.

Warped discs on the Multi.

2 rockers on the SPS (not warranty)

the SPS and the 996R were bought secondhand.

I had enough faith in the Multistrada to take it to Morocco and the Sahara desert and there isn't a Ducati importer or dealer in Morocco.

The dry clutches don't last that long though, character

Ducati Reliability

Thanks for the feedback on the subject of reliability. The comments are very interesting. In the Sahara on a Multistrada; what pictures this evokes of this characterful bike. Wish the seat height had been a bit lower.
