Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
1000cc Super moto anyone?

Ducati Leeds Lent me a Multistrada to amuse myself on while my bike was in for its belt change.

You felt the weight when you wheeled it around but as soon as you set off it required no effort to ride at all. If It was a "blind tasting" I would have said 125 or 250 trailie!! purely from the lack of effort to ride it.

Bit tall for a 29 inch leg but just about OK when I lowered the rear ride height easily with the adjuster. Pegs got in the way a bit when stopped but agin that was just short leg problem.

Lovely high view and superb for nipping in and out of traffic. Just so easy to steer.

Engine felt a bit gutless after a 998 but that was to be expected.

Seemed a bit thirsty but that was just a subjective view about how quicly it seemed to guzzle the fivers worth of petrol I put in at DL's expense!!

Not really my kind of bike as a big race rep fan but it should open up a new market to Ducati and thats what the bean counters want?

Overall a superb bike about town mixed with a few back roads. I've never ridden a super Moto but this is what I would expect it to feel like.

I love them but I am still going to wait-according to MCN today there WILL be a 998 powered version. Now that will be a stonking bike-Multistrada handling and rideability with 998 power-bring it on.
