Fairy nuff.
Won't be doing silverstone... circuit doesn't inspire me and I'm skint!
Might wander up there for a social tho, we'll see.
It's a nice easy track to go very quick without getting into trouble cos it's very VERY wide so you'll come out of every bend thinking you could have gone twice as quick! You'll enjoy it. Keep the throttle pinned through the left kink at Abbey and you'll have the biggest grin ever!

I'll be doing a day at castle combe but that won't be 'til next season.

In answer to the first quesion on the thread...

1. Check your bike over; get it serviced before you venture towards the twisty track Tarmac and then check it again.
2. When you get there take your time. Leave to arrive early and then you are not rushing around. Being frantic in the morning sets the wrong tone for the day.
3. Adjust your tyre pressures for track use, 32psi front and 30psi rear is a good starting place for nearly all bikes.
4. Make sure you keep it in your pants and SLOWLY build up speed as the day goes on. You do have all day you know!
5. Let others pass. Your ego will want you to go too fast too soon and this will end up in tears. When others are going mental stay calm and do your own thing. There’s no prize money at the end of the day…

Put it another way…

Would you prefer the first track day to be slow and steady and still ride more all year or lob it at the hedges break yourself and the bike and not ride again until the winter?

Deej...If that is the 29th Aug then I could be tempted.

Did silverstone GP earlier in the year for an afternoon session with FE and loved it.

Whose that with and is it all day or an evening thing

As for going, I'll keep that date in mind as I will be due another TD around the end of August.

well make sure that date is the 29th august, you cant get much closer to the end of august than that and its not far from your place is it mate !!!!

im glad about the noise thing, i was so unimpressed when taking her for her mot, those standard cans are just so quiet and dare i say it deisilish after rideing around with termi's fitted.

will keep an eye on this thread closer to the date to see if youve booked up .
