castle doom
Mate has me roped in for a td at Castle combe late july, bit worried about all their blurb about super strict noise test, anyone have any experience and any thoughts as to what chance a 748 on 45mm termis has of passing?

At an MSV day, cadwell or Snetterton its 99/100db and has run at Donington at a 98db day, CC's limit is 105db but they want 7k rpm not the 5k that MSV/ACU ask for.

I'm off to CC in August, it's a great track.

As a rough guide for the noise test, my DD bike roars in at around 98db for a MSV test, and with the increased revs at Castle Combe it shouts at 102db. Make sure you've got the engine up to temp for the test and sort out some db killers just in case. Then you should be fine.
I'm taking the 996 with 50mm pipes and db killers, but the R6 will be going in the van as a backup.

Well, just done Castle Coombe. Wet in the morning and dry in the afternoon, the sun coming out made the bumps feel bigger though, but a friendly relaxed crowd

for the record my 853 (big bore 748) with 45 mm termi cans made 105 at noise test so just scraped a pass. Had the db killers in the car just in case though....
