955 matt... The 748R sounds like a bargain.I think they will always be a little bit special as they are the last in the line of a highly rated bike.Save yourself some money and get the 'R' n !

I think you know which one i would recomend,they have a fab power delivery and the most glorious noise with 50mm termi's of any of the watercooled engines,the're suprissingly quick too ask Henners..

Correcto - up to 120mph the 748R will hang onto a 996R. Lovely revvy almost 2stroke like delivery - not a huge amount of torque but addictive all the same. The slipper clutch gets through plates at a rate if you use it like Stu does
