Termi exhaust for 998
Will a 45mm termi exhaust (silencers only)sourced from a 2001 748 fit ok on my 2003 998bip?

What db rating do you get at 5000 rpm? I do the occasional trackday and dont want to have to change back to the standard exhausts every time!

Not sure if the diameter will allow them to be fitted to your existing system. However, my 50mm Termis come in at 102/3 depending on the tester and 99 with the db killers. I would imagine the 45mm is not as loud. Most circuits are 105 apart from Oulton at 102. You do have quite days a 98 sometimes but this is usually stated on the booking form.

Yep the 45mm Termi Cans from a 748 will fit the 45mm system found on the 998Bip
But no idea of noise levels as my 998Bip motor has been upgraded to a full 50mm System fitted to it

possibly a smidge under the 102/3db i get with my 50mm Termis.......really too close to the mark for some trackdays, or, in other words....Just Right.

Will depend on the amount and quality of your exhaust packing.

The 45mm system on my 748R registered 103db at Cadwell

The cans have done over 50k miles since new mind you and have never been re repacked 😜
