Cover with CN went up from £700 fully comp' last year to £755 this year. DId the usual phone around and here's the results.

Norwich Union Direct £982.82 with no extras

H&R Insurance Services £516.22 thru Zenith with some extras & £600 excess

Rampdale Insurance/Quoteline £455 thru Zenith with no extras and £600 excess

Insure £509 with £600 excess thru Zenith with FOC Legal Prot and Green card

Bennets £653 thru NU with £250 excess and FOC UK breakdown

Saved myself £300 nicker a year.

Simon,

As I only rang those few companies it didn't take me long.

I figured most people who were gonna quote me a realistic figure were gonna be on Zenith so I stopped at £300 off last year's premium rather than several hours recounting my speeding convictions to all the different people.

As I said above, your post was excellent and could have meant more savings without all the questionning hassle. Nice one mate. Will use that next year.

The £300 nicker that I saved has rebuilt my bike after my weekend 'off' at Croft with beer money to spare, so chuffed enough.
