Help!! - 998s ecu for 50mm termi\'s

Bit of an error on my part........

Recently bought a 998s had everything checked before I bought it (all fine) & took it that the 996R ecu was for the 50mm system on it as not marked as 998s (big mistake)

Fuelings been off but I thought it was the rev sensor which motorapido replaced this week but didn't fix it

Looked at BDG's post on his ecu's yesterday - checked mine & you guessed it it's the one for the std pipes - can't believe I missed it - or didn't double check it - what a tosser!!

Does anyone have one I can buy/hire/borrow off them as I'm doing Silverstone GP next monday?

Also does anyone know if a power commander replaces the existing ecu - or do you need the right ecu in before you can fit one??

Thanks

You leave the cpu on the bike and attatch the pc111 as well.
The pc111 sort of interupts the working of the std cpu and can be adjusted to fule where you want.

I understand that with the correct equipment a std cpu could also be adjusted to where you want it to be.

Oh i have two spare cpu, did have 3 but Henners had one. If you wanted to keep your std set up cpu, and wanted another for your open pipes setup, then you could try one of mine.

One is damaged, but only to the plastic around the connector casing, this was from my 998s open pipe set up! I does still work, well did until i replaced it........

Henners may be able to advise what was done with his 996......

Thanks for that

I'd be very interested in trying then!

What open pipes did you have on the 998s?

Would you be happy to post them to me?
