How do i tell

How do I tell what model Showa shock is fitted to my 600ss, the manual says that there should be a Sachs-Boge shocker fitted but its defo got a Showa fitted and i can't see any numbers or identification on it at all.

Murray,if its got a showa then the bike could be one of the ultra rare highly desireable rs fo96 corse models,reputedly on 2 ever made,ones in the museum and the others whereabouts are unknown!
Should be worth trillions to a collector
Otherwise its an old ss that someones stuck a showa in!

Murray, many of the 600's didnt have the parts they should have - particularly a 'Friday' bike.
Showa ones are better than the others tho, such as the Marzocci - and could well have been fitted later by a previous owner.

Easy, if it has blue knob on it, or looks like the attached, then it's a boge. The Showa unit is all silver with a yellow spring.

No Blue knob on mine, there is one dressed in black leathers sitting on it though.
