Are all the grey 5 spoke Marchi\'s the same?

Looking to swop my mag wheels for ali ones for my 998S

Are the grey 5 spoke marchesini's all the same & interchangeable?

ie will the wheels off a 996s or s4r or 748r fit my bike?

Thanks in advance

Yes, the wheels are all the same. To correct JPM, the 748R (01 & 02) and 998R front disc offset is different but the wheel is the same. There's also a rumour that the R wheels are lighter but I've never substantiated that info.

Cheers, Neil.

Neil, glad someone could clarify that, I knew the offset was different but didn't know if it was just disks or wheel hub, and yes the rumour is the wheel is lighter but that has yet to be proved, probably thinner disks???

Lighter discs may well be the answer. When the 748R first appeared in 2000 (it came with the "snowflake" discs), I don't remember any mention of lighter wheels. From memory that rumour started in 01 when the R changed to the 9 spoke narrow band discs which are lighter than the "snowflakes" - can't remember by exactly how much though.
