Thumbs up 1198s Insurance Quotes

hope the following helps, not so much on the quotes but more to do with skipping the numb nuts who say no straight away without even bothering to check. P.S. dont use the cost comparision sites like MCN or others.. they dont list it either

35 year old 7 years riding 7 years NCD post code KT19 9UA
1198s new on 2nd march with yamaha r6 on 2nd part of policy all brick garaged. no accidents, no convictions, ride all year round 3000 miles on each

Aquote £592 excess 350 (underwritten by Highways?)
AA= havent got a clue as its not on their system
Swinton-£800
Bennetts= havent got a clue as its not on their system
Ducati insurance= £738 excess £500
MCE- £779.22 excess £500

GREAT DEAL Ducdaz..lucky bu66er !

After getting the quote from Ducati Insurance i phone them back 2 hours later to confirm their amount and it droppped by £40? phoned Aquote and they forgot to put the other bike on the insurance policy, they requoted at £823!!!! told them stuff it.

Phone Ducati Insurance asked them for my previous quote details and then ...they dropped it again to £642!!!?? Wasnt trying to haggle at that point, so nice surprise anyway.

Still bl00dy annoyed that it would be cheaper to insure a 1098 R thats nearly £10k more expensive and exclusive than the 1198s. Oh well. should be cheaper next year..i hope.

I wont tell you what it cost to insure my 1098S then as after I blinged it up to the nines, I virtually made it uninsureable due to the value of all the parts on it. Finally got it insured at an agreed value of £20,000.
