http://www.casadeigelsi.com/ About an hour from Pisa airport, south of Florence on the first stop from Florence to Rome on the main railway. Sitting above the hills just outside the little town of Figline Valdarno and nestled amongst an olive grove on the end of a well made track.
A block of very well converted farm cottages sharing a good pool. All accommodation is of an excellent standard with well equipped bathrooms and kitchens. If you are looking for go-go night life and a bustling atmosphere dont come here. The only noise you will hear are the crickets chirping at night.
Highly recommended these cottages are owned by our good friend but I can vouch for the quality and a great holiday as we have been twice. Disadvantages? No Aircon. but a lot of the rooms have downstairs bedrooms so the thick walls keep things cooler. No credit cards taken also but you can pull cash on your card from the cash point locally.
