748 Debaffled cans - Chip advice

my 748 has what i think are debaffled standard cans. the inside diameter of the end bores is 40mm (height) X 47mm (width). they are stamped ZDM14.

i think the standard chip is installed. will this be ok, or should i get an upgrade chip? i have some standard cans from my previous 2000 model 748E, which i can fit if necessary.

i'm considering getting some carbon termis. if i want to fit 50mm cans what other bits (ie:link pipes/chip) will i need.

sorry if this info is elsewhere on the site

If the standard cans have been cored, I reckon a chip for open 45mm pipes should do the job, same chip if you go to 45mm termis too.

You can always get a custom chip that matches the cans precisely - a Ultimap eprom. Sigma do these, info here;

Just read that you might gor 50mm termis - the chip for open 50mm cans will do the job here - you can get these from JHP;
