Loctite 510 according to the workshop manual ( for the M8 x 1.25 mm bolts fixing the drum )

Yep, fine on the bolts holding the drum but dont use any on the little ones holding the springs in.

Get back to your revision Andy!

If you use loctite on a thread does it just make it sticky and less likely to undo or more like varnish making it difficult to undo ?

On my ST4 the plastic panels that go along side the seat and up towards the pillion grab handle are difficult to fit using the bolts supplied. I have replaced the bolts with a short piece of allthread screwed into the panel then all I have to do is fit the nut and washer, job done. So far they havent come loose but Im sure they could so I was considering using loctite to set them once and for all.

What do you guys think ?
