Been there done that, I was racing in SoT in 2002 on bikes that were only couple of years old at the time and not Golden Oldies, and 10 years later nothing will have changed, although my bikes are now a better spec they will still be far outclassed by an EX INS 996RS etc. I did enter SoT on the 998R at Silverstone in 2010 but switched the bike off when the previous quallifying session was red flagged and she didn't want to start again from Hot
