999R Front brakes

Ok i have read some of the horror storys on here concerning problems with the front brakes, to be honest this worries me to the point that i cant fully concentrate on enjoying my rides out.

Having just picked up my 04 999R and having no wish to fall foul of any brake problems, what would be a good trade off for the existing ones for more peace of mind ??

Took my 999S brakes apart when i fitted new tyres, dropped pads out, cleaned with brake cleaner, regreased pads and refitted, took about 20 minutes. Bike had done almost 2000 miles and there was a bit of pad dust around pistons, easily removed and once regreased pads everything ran smoothly. Will do this every tyre change.

All problems that I've heard of are on the brakes fitted to the 749(s) it happened to me, not long after another member experienced the problem. I don't think the same problem exists with the radial brakes on the 'R' models, so i'd just enjoy your riding. I was like you though after my incident so now i've had my bike converted to the radial calipers, and think they're the same caliper as fitted to the R models... I don't expect to have the same problem again.
