Thanks Nelly, connections sound the same as the car ones (differential signal and ground) with the exception of the connector itself.

I'd be interested to hear where you got the software from (by U2U if you prefer). I have done a google and found a place that sells ecus in Australia, and supposedly sell diagnostics software too. Can't see any prices for them though.
