Blowing Exhaust

While changing the oil and filter on the 749 I noticed that the rear pipe was rather tarnished and in need of a bit of a polish. While warming the bike before changing the oil I also noticed that there is a small amount of exhaust gas leaking from a joint in the exhaust about four inches from the rear cylinder.

Is this something that I should worry about?

The bike has about 5,000 miles on it and was purchased new by me with the Asymetric Termi fitted

Got a small leak on mine too as discovered after cleaning at the weekend, just from the joint between the two pipes, personally I'm not that bothered about it

Push fit pipes and spring clips, will leak a little. Nothing to be over woried about.

If it gets worse or you are concerned take it apart and wipe a little silicone sealant in to the joint when you build it back up.

Thanks mate that's what I thought.

I might pull the exhaust off and give the whole thing a good polishing and reassemble with sealant
