servicing costs for Multistrada ?

How do the servicing costs work out for the MS ?. I'm interested to hear how that side of things compares with the 996-engined bikes like my ST4S, which I love but find the service costs (£625 for the last major at Alvins in Edinburgh) a real pain,

Too early to say yet as the bikes have only just been available for 12 months.
My first service was 43quid,oil and filter.etc only. The second service is due in a couple of months time so I will be booking it in soon.
BTW,Marco has just had the major 12K service on a ST4 and it cost just under 500quid.

Duke, My MS booked in for service at Alvins week on Friday. It'll be it's second sevice but the first Annual sevice if you follow my drift.
I'll lt you know the damage next week.

Hey KB, first service for my MS cost only £33.68 which included parts, labour and VAT! A bargain compared to your costs!

my first service cost me approx £1300. Maybe I should have the DP catalogue in the draw.

Ducati UK have changed their first service structure. Now you have to pay for the first service within the cost of the bike, - they quote £250 for it!!!! I said no way, is it worth that and negotiated.

Well, having got exactly the same engine in my M1000sie as your multistrada's, I was a bit suprised at the cost of its recent 1st service - £157! quite a bit more than the M750ie 2 years ago.

Just arrived back with multistrada after 1st service a whopping £158.87 worse off!

3 hours labour!?

I wish I would have negotatiated price of 1st service when I bought the bike. What happened to the days when you just payed for oil and filter?

When my dealer was trying to persuade me to buy my 1st Ducati he threw in the labour portion of the first service as an incentive when I started to waver

Well Duke, it's taken me this long to get over the shock!

First Annual service of Multistrada with a little under 3,000miles on clock, that'll be £389.74 including VAT thank you very much!

6(!)hrs labour t £40/hr + parts at £91.69. Admittedly they did fit comfort seat at same time but since I assume tank/seat unit would have been off anyway for servicing this can't have accounted for much in terms of labour.

OUCH!

PS Rocker, seems your Avatar has put on a little too much bulk!

PPS I'm 6'2" but with comfort seat fitted even I can just get my feet flat on ground and no more!

I know I am having problems with my Avatar at the moment so I have removed it completely until I can get it sorted
