If it's a genuine Foggy Rep, then it's worth as much as the person wanting to buy it. There's no guide price for an original painting, "Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies "

Thanks guys for your input the man wants £9k so at that price its not too over priced.
I used to have a 916sps and regret selling it albeit it was starting to look a bit tired.I'm fortunate to have a 999r so the foggy would be for occaisional dry day use only.I may even put it in my lounge and just look at it (her in doors does not know this).I'm not normaly into race reps but i think the foggy rep looks right so may just go and do it.
Thanks again
Bazzer

Talk of the devil I just noticed a 1997 955SP for sale at Forza Italia, priced at £13799. Also a 2004 996R at £10,799. Obviously dealer prices mind you!

motop rapido sold one for c8.5k some weeks ago...mint low miles so BDG looks about on the money (as usual)

cant get my head around this 955 sp thing tho, why would it be worth more than the early 916sps?? Isnt that the original championship wining bike? (genuinely dont know) less power, smaller motor, ok so maybe not that many about in 955 guise and most of those raced but the sps is only in the low hunderds...and when I was looking for one a few years ago, I was told most were 916 with an after market 955 fitted??

IMHO the 916 series are a bit too new as yet to have people fighting with their cash over them. Give it a another 5 to 10 years and things might be different. The foggy reps were 1998/1999 model??? so they are just another 7 or 8 year old bike at the moment. The signs are there though that in a few years time that prices could rise.

Buying a bike as an investment is a risky business, you really want to use the thing as little as possible as well which is OK if you have other bikes to use.

Anyone remember that you could buy an E type jag in the early 70's for less that £1,000 now even a basket case is well over £10,000
